Waiting can feel like silence, especially after a clear prayer and an unclear answer. Yet silence is not the same as absence. A musician learns to respect the rests because they give shape to the song. God can also use the pauses in life with purpose.
Worship in the waiting says that God remains worthy before the door opens. It releases the demand to understand every delay and chooses instead to remember His character. That choice is not always emotional or dramatic. Sometimes it is simply a quiet yes offered again today.
The waiting season may be building endurance, redirecting a path, preparing another person, or protecting something that cannot yet be seen. Trust does not require knowing which explanation is true. Trust rests in knowing that God is good.
Do not rush past the lesson hidden in the pause. Let prayer deepen. Let gratitude become specific. Let worship fill the room. The answer will come in God’s wisdom, but the waiting itself can already become holy ground.
Lord, steady every heart that needs this reminder. Let truth rise above fear, hope take root in quiet places, and grace become the song carried into the days ahead. In Jesus’ name, amen.
