But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. — Isaiah 40:31 KJV
There is something holy about a quiet road, a tree line, and enough stillness to hear what has been crowded out by noise. A small Alabama town may look ordinary to someone passing through, but ordinary places are often where God grows extraordinary faith.
Roots do their most important work where nobody can see them. Long before a flower opens, something patient and necessary is happening beneath the ground. The same is true in a life of faith. Seasons that feel hidden may be strengthening the very things that will hold a future blessing upright.
The holler also teaches that sound travels. A song released with sincerity can reach farther than the singer imagined. Encouragement offered in a small church, a family room, or a community gathering may keep traveling in someone’s heart long after the last note fades.
Never despise the place where God planted the beginning. Hope does not need a spotlight to grow. It needs truth, time, and a heart willing to keep looking toward the light.
Lord, steady every heart that needs this reminder. Let truth rise above fear, hope take root in quiet places, and grace become the song carried into the days ahead. In Jesus’ name, amen.
